New information for high school counselors: upload documents on behalf of your students...FAFSA open earlier...Coalition application offers alternative admissions app
New for 2019-2020

As we put the wraps on this admission cycle, we are looking ahead to the 2019-2020 admission season. July 1 will be here before you know it and there are some important things you need to know.

Beginning this fall, all freshman applicants will be required to submit a Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) as part of their admission file to Texas A&M University. The SRAR will replace the high school transcripts used by the Office of Admissions during the initial review process in most cases. All freshman applicants, with a few exceptions, will enter their courses, grades, class rank (if available), weighted GPA, and graduation plan in the SRAR. Since accuracy is critical, students should reference their high school transcripts when creating a SRAR. Students may begin the SRAR in July but cannot submit it before the application. The SRAR must be submitted and linked to their application by December 15. While this changes how we collect students’ academic information, it does not change how we assign rank for non-ranking schools nor does it impact our admission decision process. We are hopeful that this new process will make your life as a counselor a little easier. We will only require official transcripts for Texas residents who report a top ten percent ranking on their SRAR or students who have studied outside of the U.S. in a school that does not follow the U.S. academic curriculum pattern.

For consistency between the SRAR and other required admission documents, aside from the admission application which is due December 1, all other required documents will be accepted through December 15. .
